1. To All Participants
JSCO2022 will be held in a hybrid format as described below.
Method of registration Online registration only
Registrations will not be accepted at the venue on the day.
For details of the registration method, please see Registration.
Method of holding all the oral sessions (including the free paper’s oral session) Speakers (e.g., chairs, presenters) In principle, speakers will be requested to be present at the venue.
Attendance/participation Attendance will be possible at the venue and by live streaming (using Zoom).
On-demand streaming [Monday, November 7 to Friday, December 16 (planned)] On-demand streaming will be partially available for designated sessions, but not for free papers.
ePosters Speakers (e.g., chairs, presenters) In principle, speakers will be requested to be present at the venue. The session will be held using ePosters. Oral presentations will be delivered at the venue only, but poster data can be viewed online during the congress period.
Attendance/participation Attendance/participation will be possible only at the venue. The poster session will not be live streamed.
Poster viewing Only the slides, not audio, of the poster presentations can be viewed online. Web participants can view the slides but cannot listen to presentations.
Countermeasures for Covid-19
- In principle, registrations will not be accepted at the JSCO2022 venue.
Please complete the online registration and print your name card before visiting the venue.
Name card cases will be available at the venue.
- Each day, you will be requested to take your temperature when you arrive at the venue before admission to respective facilities and attach a sticker to your name card to show you have done so.
- You will be requested to submit a health declaration form when you arrive at the venue.
Although the form will be available at the venue, please download it from the JSCO2022 website (“Registration” tab), print it, and fill it out before coming to the venue.
- The admission flow, etc. may be restricted depending on the situation. We would appreciate your cooperation.
- You will be requested to wear a mask at the venue. Please make sure to take your mask with you when leaving the venue.
- The venue will be ventilated. We would appreciate your cooperation.
- Admissions will be stopped if the venue becomes crowded. Please watch the live streaming in the refreshment area, etc.
- Please ensure social distancing at the reception desk, in front of the venue, in the refreshment area, etc.
- Hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed at various locations. Please use them as needed.
- Please refrain from visiting the venue if you have a temperature of 37.5°C or higher, serious fatigue, or difficulty breathing.
2. General Reception Desk (Location, Date and Time)

・ Counter for issuing numbered tickets for the Luncheon seminars (Those who make reservations in advance must also have their tickets issued on the day.)
It will be possible to select a seminar on the day and have a numbered ticket issued, but please note the number of tickets available will be limited.

3. Web Search System, Program/Abstract App (Web, iPad, Smartphone)
We offer a mobile app which enables users to view JSCO2022 abstracts free of charge.
Please use the app on your smartphone or tablet device.
During the JSCO2022 period, it will be possible to watch the live streaming and view the presentation data of the poster session from this app and the web search system.
To watch the streaming and view the data, a “web meeting ID ” (an 11-digit ID starting with “dx”) issued at the time of registration will be required. Please check the ID. Details on how to watch the streaming will be posted on the JSCO2022 website later.

・ Open the app. → Create an account. → Log in.
(Account registration is required to use the service.)
・ Search “jsco2022,” etc. in the app. → Download the app.
Usage fee: Free (Downloading the app may incur communication charges.)

4. Numbered Tickets for the Scientific Seminar (Luncheon)
A numbered ticket will serve as a coupon for a boxed lunch. Attendance at the venue will be allowed without a numbered ticket.
Please note that admissions will be stopped if the venue becomes crowded.
Only one ticket will be available for seminars that are held in the same time slot.
Tickets will no longer be issued when the capacity is reached.
Tickets will not be reissued.
Method of issuing numbered tickets
Please reserve numbered tickets and have them issued by either of the following methods.
Method 1 Making reservations in advance (at the time of registration before the JSCO2022 period) and using a ticket machine at the venue during the JSCO2022 period.
1) Making reservations in advance (at the time of registration before the JSCO2022 period)
When you place the QR code indicated on your name card over a ticket machine at the venue, numbered tickets for which you made reservations will be issued. Tickets for the three days will be issued together. Please don’t lose them.
2) Using a ticket machine at the venue during the JSCO2022 period (no reservation in advance)
When you place the QR code indicated on your name card over the QR code reader of a ticket machine, a list of seminars will be displayed on the monitor. Please select those you wish to attend. Tickets will not be issued for participants without a name card.
・ Counters for issuing numbered tickets for luncheon seminars: Numbered tickets will be issued at the following two locations:
** Kobe International Exhibition Hall, 2F of Hall No. 1 Building (near the general reception desk)
** Kobe Portopia Hotel: Lobby on 2F of South Wing
Method 2 Making online reservations and having tickets issued from “JSCO meeting” (abstract app) [only for seminars on the day]
・ Download the JSCO2022 app from “JSCO meeting” (abstract app).
・ Enter the ticket issuance number on the name card from the “Obtain and display numbered tickets for scientific seminars ” button.
・ Select seminars you wish to apply for. → Applications for the day are completed.
Upon entering the seminar room, please show your numbered ticket (e-ticket), which is displayed on the screen after completion of an application, at the reception desk in front of the seminar room.

How to enter a luncheon seminar room

Participants who have a numbered ticket will be admitted first. Please show your numbered ticket in front of the seminar room.
Participants who do not have a numbered ticket will be admitted if there are vacant seats after admission of those who have a numbered ticket.
Numbered tickets will be invalid after the start of a seminar.
The space in front of the seminar room is expected to be crowded immediately before the start of a seminar.
You are advised to come to the seminar room well in advance.
Please help ensure social distancing.

5. Evening Seminars
For evening seminars (Thursday, October 20 and Friday, October 21), numbered tickets will not be issued.
Those who wish to participate will be requested to come directly to the seminar room.

The sponsored lounge will be arranged as shown below and will be freely available.

8. Cloakroom

The existing cloakrooms on 1F of the Main Building and South Wing of Kobe Portopia Hotel will also be available.
There is no cloakroom at the Kobe International Conference Center.
9. Refreshment Area
A refreshment area will be arranged on 1F of No. 1 Building and No. 2 Building of the Kobe International Exhibition Hall (the venue for the ePoster session and the exhibition). The area will be open for use.
10. Hospitality Area
Famous confectionery of Gunma, Kobe, and Kyushu, bread of a popular bakery in Kobe, and other items will be available. Please drop by.
